Abstract

A cable tray assembly comprising a cable tray (1) made of polymeric material and a cable carrier component (12) that is directly coupled to the cable tray (1). The cable carrier component (12) includes in its side walls (15) a lug (18) integral with a stem (19). The lug (18) is inserted into a hollow interior space (8) of an outer guide (7) of the cable tray (1), and the stem (19) passes through a continuous opening (11) of the outer guide (7). A clamping piece (20) mounted on one end of the stem (19) is manually actuated to be moved to a position closer to the side wall (15), which is maintained by the cooperation of the clamping piece (20) with the stem (19), and in which the clamping piece (20) bears under pressure against the outer guide (7), thereby locking the lug (18) in the outer guide (7).
