Method and embossing machine with pressure roller with temperature control related application data

Abstract

One method for producing an embossed cellulose web includes the following steps: (a) directly heating the outer surface of a pressure roll, and (b) embossing the web between an embossing roll and the pressure roll. Additional webs, some or all embossed, may be combined with the embossed web to produce a product. The inside of the pressure roll may be cooled to create a temperature gradient between the outside and inside of the roll.
