Extra-fine lime slurry

Abstract

The present invention relates to an extra-fine lime slurry with superior flowability and pumpability, more particularly, to a lime slurry comprising a dry solids content of fine lime particles greater than or equal to 30% by weight and less than or equal to 70% by weight based on the weight of the lime slurry in the aqueous phase, said lime slurry comprising at least one polymeric dispersant in an amount of 0.1 to 2.0% by weight of active polymeric dispersant relative to said total dry solids content of said lime slurry, and at least one stabilizer in an amount of 0.5 to 4.0% by weight of active stabilizer relative to said total dry solids content of said lime slurry. The present invention also relates to a process for manufacturing a lime slurry having superior flowability and pumpability.
