Electrical power supply system for a vehicle

Abstract

The invention relates to an electrical power supply system for providing electrical power to an electrically powered vehicle, comprising a power supply line extending along a vehicle travel path and at least one vehicle current collector configured to contact the power supply line. According to the invention, the power supply line extends laterally along the travel path and comprises at least two rigid conductive rails extending parallel to each other. Furthermore, the at least one current collector comprises at least one sliding shoe configured to contact one of the conductive rails from the side in a current-conducting manner and to slide on it.According to the invention, the power supply line has a modular construction and comprises multiple support modules, each comprising a base body that can rest on the ground and a support extending upward from the base body, connected to each other by conductor rails. Fastening elements are arranged on the supports, in which the conductor rails are releasably housed. The invention further relates to an electrically powered vehicle with a current collector from the power supply system, according to the invention, as well as to a power supply line.
