Abstract

A method for competitively forwarding a data packet in a vehicle Ad hoc network, which is suitable for an urban environment, comprises the following steps: (1) modeling an urban road environment to obtain a weighted undirected graph; (2) performing dynamic selection and update of road forks in a data packet forwarding path; (3) updating the location information of a destination node; (4) forwarding the data packet based on a competitive forwarding strategy; and (5) conforming reception in the last hop in the data packet forwarding process.
