The invention discloses a wireless local area network (WLAN) network control method and a device thereof. The WLAN network comprises a wireless access controller AC device and at least one wireless access point AP device connected with an AC device. The method includes the following steps: the AC device acquires the sleep condition and the wake-up condition of the WLAN network; the AC device closes the AP device when the AP device meets the sleep condition; and the AC device wakes up the closed AP device when the closed AP device meets the wake-up condition. In the invention, the AC device sets up the sleep condition and the wake-up condition of the WLAN network; the AC device closes the AP device when the AP device meets the sleep condition; the AC device wakes up the closed AP device when the AP device meets the wake-up condition; therefore, the use of the AP device in the WLAN network can be controlled, and the utilization ratio of network sources is improved.
