Abstract

The invention discloses a waveguide adaptor which consists of a base and a cover plate, the base comprises an input coupling hole, a transition waveguide, a metal body and an output coupling hole. The transition waveguide is in the shape of a rectangular cavity, the metal body is arranged in the transition waveguide, while the bottom surface of the metal body and the bottom surface of the transition waveguide are not connected or superposed at a same plane. The input waveguide is connected with one end of the transition guide through the input coupling hole, the output waveguide is connected with the other end thereof through the output coupling hole, and a long side of the input waveguide is vertical to a long side of the output waveguide. The waveguide polarization adaptor and an external microwave structure connected with the waveguide polarization adaptor comprise the base and the cover plate which are subjected to milling process. Compared with the prior art, the invention features simple structure, convenient process, can effectively avoid assembly error. The invention is mainly applied to the systems with varying microwave wave bands such as communication, radar and the like.
