Abstract

The invention provides a method for cultivating and propagating epipactis mairei. The method is characterized in that: michelia crassipes law is used as a female parent, michelia calcicola is used as a male parent, flowers of the male parent in a bloom stage are picked, perianth lobes and gynoecia are removed, and pollen is collected when anthers naturally cracks to give off the pollen; flowers to be bloomed of the mother parent are picked, perianth lobes and gynoecia are removed, and the flowers are pollinated with the fresh pollen of the male parent; the pollinated flowers are bagged and bags are removed after one week; when cracking to show fresh red seeds, legumes and follicles are picked, aril is removed, the legumes and follicles are humidified and preserved in sand in a green house in winter and taken out in March or April in the following year to be sown by a conventional method, after sewing, the cross seedlings of F1 generation are obtained and cultured; and from the plants of the F1 generation, plants are selected to be cultured by a tissue culture method, wherein the selected plants have the characteristics that: the bus, flower stalks, twigs and leaf stalks are densely covered with red brown villi and stipule scars are in a length which is three fifths of that of the leaf stalks; the flowers have 7 to 9 light yellow perianth lobes; and the root parts of the inside surfaces have purple veins; stamens are purple and have 2 to 3 purple red petals; the plants with green gynoecia and purple red column heads are propagated by the tissue culture method.
