The invention relates to a preparation process of ammonium paratungstate, which comprises the following steps of: delivering a mother liquor generated after solidifying a product liquid into an ammonia distilling kettle, activating the mother liquor, distilling ammonia and reclaiming the ammonia at the same time; delivering the mother liquor to a stripping tower to make an NH3-N index to reach 100 to 500mg / L, transferring the mother liquor into an acidification tank, adding vitriol into the acidification tan to make the mother liquor weakly acidic; sending the acidulous liquid into an ion exchange column for absorption by a resin, desorbing the liquid with a solution of sodium hydroxide to form a concentrated solution of sodium tungstate; oxygenizing the solution of sodium tungstate; delivering the solution of sodium tungstate into a preparation kettle for a liquid before ion exchange, absorbing the solution of sodium tungstate with a resin, discharging waste alkaline water, desorbingthe solution of sodium tungstate with an eluting reagent; removing impurities from the solution of sodium tungstate; and delivering the solution of sodium tungstate from which the impurities thereof removed into the product liquid, solidifying the mixture to form the product, and performing the step 1 on the left mother liquid to recycle the mother liquid.
