Abstract

The aluminum-wood intergrowth material comprises an aluminum section and a wood section; the aluminum section is provided with a groove which is matched with the wood section; and the inner side of the groove is provided with teeth which are embedded in the wood section to connect the aluminum section and the wood section rigidly. Besides, the invention further provides a method for preparing the aluminum-wood intergrowth material. A tooth form design of the aluminum section groove and a rolling process increase the bite force of the combined wood section and aluminum section greatly, and consequently make the wood section and aluminum section combined tightly. Experimental results show that the aluminum-wood intergrowth material can bear a longitudinal shearing force of 6,000 to 7,000 N (in the length of 100 mm) and a transverse tensile force of 5,000 to 6,000 N (in the length of 100 mm). The aluminum-wood intergrowth material is highly favorable for improving the strength of doors and windows of buildings, and improving the water tightness, gas tightness and wind load resistance of the doors and windows.
