A mist generation device which easily generates mist containing an agent of desired concentration. The mist generation device (1) has a flow path (3) through which liquid flows. A first branch path (12) branched from the flow path is provided with a pump (13) for sucking the liquid from the flow path. A second branch path (14) is branched from that portion of the first branch path which is located downstream of the pump, and the second branch path (14) is provided with a containing section (15) for containing the agent. A mixing section (8) forms solution by mixing the liquid having passed through the flow path and the liquid having passed through the first and second branch paths. A mist generation section (30) sprays the solution created by the mixing section (8).
