Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for transmitting multi-media information during call connection, relating to the field of communication. A call connection method for a non-concurrent network comprises the following steps: receiving a call for a called terminal, wherein the call is initiated by a calling terminal; hanging preset time-delay to the call; inquiring the multi-media information corresponding to a calling terminal number in a database within the preset time-delay; transmitting the multi-media information to the called terminal through data connection between the called terminal and the non-concurrent network within the preset time-delay; and releasing the hanged call of the calling terminal on the called terminal. In a non-concurrent communication network, a networkside utilizes the time-delay of the hanged call to transmit the related multi-media information to the called terminal, and the information provided by the network side is presented to a called user while the called terminal rings.
