Problems solved by technology

[0005] However, according to this solution, in the case of certain combinations of weak fiber bonds of the nonwoven material and hook materials with strong / good engaging properties, some fibers may get stuck in the fastening element when the mechanical fastening element is disengaged within the hook structure
Not only can this lead to an unattractive appearance of the diaper ear handles, it can also lead to blunting of the hook structure due to the covering of the fibers

Embodiment Construction

[0043] Figure 1a An embodiment of the fastening sheet according to the invention is shown schematically. The fastening sheet comprises a backing 1 having a manufacturer end 2 and a user end 3 . The backing 1 comprises a base layer 8 coated with an adhesive layer 9 . At the user end 3 a mechanical fastening element 4 is attached to the backing 1 . The fastening sheet also comprises a release strip 5 having a first leg 6 firmly connected to the backing 1 and a second leg 7 folded onto the mechanical fastening element 4 around a fold line.

[0044] For example, the release strip 5 may generally consist of a strip of film or nonwoven material having an adhesive on it and folded over itself to obtain a first leg and a second leg. Preferably, the release strip 5 comprises several elements and / or parts. For example, the release strap 5 may comprise a central strip 5a comprising the first leg 6, the portion 7a of the second leg 7 and the interconnection therebetween. Connected to...

Abstract

The invention relates to improved fastening tabs for disposable products such as diapers, to disposable products comprising said fastening tabs, and to methods of manufacturing said disposable products. According to one embodiment, the fastening tab comprises a backing having a manufacturer s end and an opposite user s end. The fastening tab is adapted to be secured to the disposable product at its manufacturer s end, and the user's end comprises a fingerlift. The tab further comprises a mechanical fastening element attached to the user s end of the backing. The user s end is folded in a Z-shape such that the mechanical fastening element is at least partially covered by a portion of the user's end. The fastening tab is adapted so that, upon application of a pulling force onto the user s end of the fastening tab, the Z-shape is released and the covering of the mechanical fastening element is removed so that the mechanical fastening element is exposed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a fastening sheet for a disposable product, a disposable product comprising the fastening sheet and a method of manufacturing the same. Background technique [0002] Today, disposable products such as diapers are widely used not only in the child care industry, but also for incontinent adults. These disposable products are usually reclosable by fastening tabs which are easy to handle and provide a secure fixation. [0003] Typically, such fastening tabs include an adhesive-based closure mechanism or a mechanical closure mechanism or a combination of both. Fastening tabs that rely on a mechanical closure mechanism typically include mechanical fastening elements with hooks that are attached to the rear waist portion of the diaper or the diaper ear handles. If a diaper is being used, the mechanical fastening elements of the fastening tab can be attached to the land area on the front waist portion of the diaper. To this ...
