Application network equipment obtains an input sequence keyed in by a user through user equipment and sends the input sequence to input network equipment; the input network equipment carries out match retrieval in a lexicon according to the input sequence so as to obtain one or a plurality of entry optional items matched with the input sequence; then, the entry optional items are sent to the application network equipment; and the application network equipment receives the entry optional items and supplies the entry optional items to the user equipment for the user to select. Compared with the prior art, the invention permits users to input in the corresponding application service without installing an input method by an input method based on cloud computing, thus overcoming the defects that a user terminal can not input in a plurality of application services because the user terminal dose not support the input method, and enhancing the using experience of the user network.
