By means of the mode provided by the invention, the extraction of the traffic information can be realized by effectively utilizing a 3G network and the mobile terminals in the 3G network. Meanwhile, in the mode, subsequent hardware upgrading does not need to be carried out on the mobile terminal(s), thus, the initial-stage investment for acquiring the traffic information is reduced, and the accurate traffic information can be acquired by virtue of accurate locating and sufficient terminal samples.
