Abstract

The invention discloses a middle-permeability sandstone simulation core for a laboratory physical simulation experiment and a preparation method thereof. The middle-permeability sandstone simulation core comprises the following components in part by weight: 100 parts of quartz sand with the particle size of between 250 and 420mu m, 200 to 500 parts of quartz sand with the particle size of between56 and 74mu m, and 9 to 30 parts of bentonite. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: mixing the three kinds of materials according to the design requirements of the simulation core, stirring uniformly to obtain a core base material, adding filtered mine injection water for the experiment into the core base material which is mixed and stirred uniformly so as to moisten the core base material, filling into a core barrel, compacting, adding the filtered mine injection water to saturate a core, and standing. Through the test on the water phase permeability, all results obtainedthrough the test are within the middle-permeability range; and the middle-permeability simulation core is provided for laboratory physical experiments. The invention changes methods for preparing a dry base material and knocking outside a pipe for the conventional simulation core, and ensures that the permeability of the simulation core is within the middle-permeability range.
