Abstract

The invention discloses a method for measuring weft tension in a shed. The method comprises the following steps of: marking weft of which the total length is between 5 and 1,500 meters at intervals of 5 to 150 meters; uniformly winding the weft on a bobbin; introducing from a weft insertion device into the shed by a weft storage device; throwing into a fell by a reed; aligning a high-speed camera with the shed within the breadth range of a weaving machine, and placing the high-speed camera out of the motion range of the reed; shooting by the high-speed camera to obtain a state image of the weft in the shed when the weft moves in the shed at high speed, and inputting the shot image into a computer; analyzing the state image of the weft in the shed in the computer, and calculating the elongation of the weft in the shed; and thus, obtaining the tension of the weft in the shed according to relationship between the tension and the elongation of the weft obtained by a yarn breaking strength tensile tester.
