Abstract

The invention discloses a method for reporting locating information. The method is used for realizing the reporting for the locating information in a relay system and reducing transmission delay and network resources. While being applied to a base station side, the method comprises the following steps of: receiving the locating information initiatively reported by an RN (Relay Node); performing storing and updating operations; and sending local locating information and the locating information initiatively reported by the RN to an enhanced service mobile location center (E-SMLC). While being applied to an RN side, the method comprises the following steps of: obtaining the local locating information and initiatively sending the locating information to the base station. The invention also discloses a device used for realizing the method.
