Abstract

A jig assembly for a brazing heat exchanger and a method of manufacturing a heat exchanger using the same are provided. The jig assembly consists of a temporary assembling unit and a tray. The temporary assembling unit consists of a pair of header pipes and a core. The header pipes are arranged to be spaced apart in a horizontal direction. The core comprises a plurality of tubes and a plurality of heat radiating fins. The tubes are laminated to be spaced apart between the header pipes. The heat radiating fins are arranged between the tubes. The trays are arranged on the lower parts of the heat exchanger and the temporary assembling unit. The tray makes the temporary assembling unit or the core spaced apart from the floor. By utilizing the jig assembly and the method, flux trace can be prevented from appearing on the heat exchanger during brazing so that the reliability and productivity of the heat exchanger are improved.
