In order to ensure proper matching of the turbocharger (16) , and in particular the compressor (18) of the turbocharger (16) in all operating conditions, a cylinder bypass flow path (40) that includes a controllable valve (42) enables matching the turbocharger 16 to the engine (1) in operation modes with or without exhaust gas recirculation.
