Abstract

The present invention relates to an enclosed can system for mining equipment. The operator's cab for a shuttle car includes a cab frame, a window assembly, and a pressurization system. The cab frame defines an interior chamber and an opening. The window assembly includes a pane and a pane seal. The pane is coupled to the cab frame such that the pane covers the opening and encloses the interior chamber. The pane seal is positioned between the pane and the cab frame. The pressurization system provides a positive pressure in the interior chamber relative to the surrounding environment. The pressurization system includes a blower and a motor for driving the blower. The blower is in fluid communication with the interior chamber.
