The sand separator comprises a material feeding main tube (1), a material feeding branch tube (2), a material discharge tube (3) and separating tubes. The sand separator is characterized in that at least two separating tubes are connected to the material feeding main tube (1) in parallel; each separating tube is composed of at least two tapered tubes (4) and tapered tube (5) of which the cross sections are of inversed trapezoid shapes in serial connection; and the material discharge tube (3) is connected to the tapered tube (4). The sand grains in the pulp are separated in the separating tubes; and the separated pulp overflows from the material discharge tube (3) to a paper picking pond. The sand separator is simple in structure and is capable of realizing continuous sand separation with high efficiency.
