Abstract

The invention discloses a halogen-free flame-retardant reinforced polypropylene composite material and a preparation method thereof. The composite material comprises, by weight: 50-80% of reinforced polypropylene masterbatches; and 20-50% of halogen-free flame-retardant masterbatches. The product provided in the invention has an excellent flame-retardant effect, good comprehensive mechanical properties, a low shrinkage rate, and a high heat deformation temperature. Meanwhile, the flame retardant decomposition is also reduced during processing. The flame retardance can reach 1.6mm V0. Due to employment of a halogen-free nitrogen-phosphorus flame retardant, the polypropylene composite material has a flame retardant effect completely up to the UL94-V0 grade, thus being a novel environment-friendly material.
