[0029] Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for alleviating coexistence issues in multi-radio devices. As stated above, some coexistence issues persist because the eNB is unaware of the interference encountered by other radios at the UE side. According to one aspect, the UE identifies existing or potential coexistence issues and sends a message to the eNB indicating that there is a coexistence issue. The message may include: identification of resources experiencing coexistence problems, identification of resources experiencing few (or no) coexistence problems, indication that some LTE events were rejected by arbitration at the UE, modified Channel Quality Indicator (CQI ), a modified Power Headroom Report (PHR), or any other helpful information. The eNB then knows that there is a coexistence problem at the UE and can select and implement mechanisms to assist the UE in mitigating the coexistence problem.
