Abstract

Techniques for managing remote events are described. An apparatus may include a processor circuit and a remote event application arranged to be executed by the processor circuit. The remote event application can be used to manage remote event notifications of publisher entities and subscriber entities. The remote event application may include, among other elements, an event monitor component for receiving external event notification messages with publisher entity events about the publisher entity. The event monitor component can select a custom event receiver component associated with the publisher entity from multiple custom event receiver components, and send the external event notification message to the selected custom event receiver component. The custom event receiver component can implement custom business logic designed for a specific application program or system program, such as code calling. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
