Abstract

The invention discloses a hard disk dynamic mapping method and a server for applying the hard disk dynamic mapping method. The server comprises a first mainboard, a second mainboard, a first hard disk group corresponding to the first mainboard, and a second hard disk group corresponding to the second mainboard. The hard disk dynamic mapping method comprises: firstly, hard disk reconstructing instructions are received and stored, and then reset instructions are received and executed; the number of the first hard disk group and the number of the second hard disk group are added up so as to obtain the total hard disk number N, wherein the N is a positive integer which is larger than zero; and subdivision calculation is conducted to the total hard disk number N according to read reconstructing instructions of hard disks, and a third hard disk group corresponding to the first mainboard and a fourth hard disk group corresponding to the second mainboard are obtained and stored.
