Abstract

The invention provides an electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device. The mobile terminal includes: a touch screen and a controller configured to: designate a plurality of regions on the touch screen, each region including text information; receive a multi-touch action on the touch screen; select a specific region from the plurality of designated regions, regardless of the touched area in the multi-touch action; determining that at least one touch in the multi-touch action is moving; and adjusting a magnification of text information included in the selected specific area corresponding to the at least one touch movement.
