Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of making it possible to confirm focusing accuracy in the determination of a correction value for correcting, in a contrast scheme, focusing information imparted by an auto-focusing means of a phase difference scheme. This imaging device is provided with a first auto-focusing means for obtaining first focusing information by the phase difference scheme and a second auto-focusing means for obtaining second focusing information by the contrast scheme. The imaging device is set to a correction mode for the first focusing information and comprises: a display controlling means for controlling a displaying means capable of producing a live-view display; and controlling means for driving and controlling a focus lens during the correction mode on the basis of the second focusing information or the first focusing information having been corrected by a correction value for the first focusing information calculated in accordance with the difference between the first focusing information and the second focusing information, and for restarting the live-view display of the displaying means having been interrupted during the correction mode.
