The material comprises, by weight, 100 parts of cement, 5-150 parts of sand, 80-180 parts of water, 5-30 parts of Lafarge and 5-55 parts of diatomite. The method comprises the following steps: mixing above components according to above proportions, molding, and demolding to prepare a seismic physical reservoir model. Novel seismic physical model materials can be synthesized through a making apparatus and a making technology according to different test purposes and requirements, seismic physical models are constructed through utilizing a similarity principle to stimulate the actual geological structure and to be used for seismic wave fields and other-purpose researches, the propagation kinetics and dynamics characteristics of seismic waves in complex regions are researched, and objective bases are provided for the verification of new methods and new theories in the oil gas exploration and exploitation.
