AI Technical Summary

Problems solved by technology

Building an analytics system using one of the above systems limits the limitations of the underlying technology of the system
For example, a Hadoop system has a low cost of ownership, but lacks the high performance and language capabilities of an in-memory system, and building a system using an in-memory system may not be cost-effective for processing larger sets of raw data
Also, the R system may lack the ability to handle larger sets of raw data and scalability / parallelism for high performance

Embodiment Construction

[0022] For example, embodiments provide a federated system for performing integrated analysis on multiple systems, such as a first distributed system, an in-memory database system, and a second distributed system. A federated system can support one or more applications for performing analysis, and can distribute the tasks of such applications across multiple systems in a manner that takes advantage of the benefits of each system.

[0023] Figure 1A A federated system 100 is shown that supports applications 155 to perform analysis, according to an embodiment. The federated system 100 may include multiple systems such as the first distributed system 110 , the in-memory database system 130 and the second distributed system 160 . Application 155 may be any type of application that relies on analytic calculations.

[0024] Generally, as further described in greater detail below, first distributed system 110 may process incoming data into a set of data blocks 116, and data blocks ...

Abstract

The invention relates to integrated analysis for multiple systems. The embodiment provides a joint system supporting application used for executing analysis. The joint system comprises a first distributed system, a memory database system and a second distributed system. The first distributed system is used for executing one or more first tasks, and the first tasks comprise the step of processing incoming data into a group of data blocks. The memory database system is used for executing one or more second tasks, and the second tasks comprise the steps of receiving the group of data blocks from the first distributed system and storing the group of data blocks in an internal storage device. The second distributed system is used for executing one or more third tasks, and the third tasks comprise the steps of receiving at least one data block in the group of data blocks from the memory database system and analyzing the data block. Operation of the first tasks, the second tasks and the third tasks is controlled by a scripting language used by the application and connected with the memory database system.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to integrated analysis of multiple systems. Background technique [0002] Designing a successful analytics product requires consideration of many different factors, including performance (such as response time), total cost of ownership, and / or availability of existing software packages. Currently, there are many different systems that support analysis, such as distributed file systems (eg, Hadoop system), distributed systems that support open source programming languages (eg, R system), and systems that support in-memory technology. For example, a Hadoop system may be a system that supports massively parallel operations (parallelism) at a relatively low cost of ownership, but may include a shared-nothing architecture, relatively low performance compared to many current in-memory analytics applications, and lack of a query language limits. The R system can be a statistical computing package with more than 3000 availabl...
