The halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene composition consists of the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 35-74% of polypropylene, 10-30% of inorganic filler, 15-30% of halogen-free flame retardant, 0.1-2% of antioxidant, 0.5-2% of coupling agent and 0-2% of other additives. The halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene composition disclosed by the invention has the advantages that (1) by adding a novel efficient halogen-free flame retardant system into a polypropylene composite material, good flame retardance of the material is obtained while maintaining good mechanical properties; (2) the halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene composition overcomes the environmental pollution and harm to human bodies caused by the traditional halogen flame-retardant polypropylene material, and is nontoxic and environment-friendly; (3) by adopting a flame retardant with relatively low content under the condition of same flame-retardant effect, the material cost of the whole system is reduced.
