Abstract

The invention provides a fireproof coating and a preparation method thereof. The fireproof coating comprises the following components in parts by weight (100 parts in total): 10-20 parts of aluminum silicate fibers, 5-15 parts of expanded perlite, 5-10 parts of ammonium polyphosphate, 3-8 parts of a curing agent, 25-30 parts of acrylic resin, 3-8 parts of pentaerythritol, and the balance of a solvent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) adding expanded perlite, ammonium polyphosphate, the curing agent, and pentaerythritol in the solvent in proportion in a mixed mode, and after the added mixture is uniformly stirred, carrying out high-speed grinding on the obtained mixture until the fineness is 15-20 mu m; (2) adding aluminum silicate fibers and acrylic resin in a solution obtained in the step (1) in proportion, and after the added mixture is uniformly stirred, carrying out high-speed dispersing on the obtained mixture 15-20 min. The fireproof coating provided by the invention is not easy to crack under a large temperature difference condition, and also not easy to crack under a dry or wet condition, therefore, the fireproof coating is better in fireproof performance, and wider in application range.
