Abstract

The invention relates to a system and method for object image detection. The system comprises a light source controller configured to emit light rays toward a target or stop emitting light rays via one or more light sources and a target detection controller configured to detect the target via shadow produced on the target. The invention further comprises a method of utilizing the sytem for object target detection. The method comprises generating light source control signals via the light source controller to operate one the more light sources facing the target illuminated light rays, responsing the light source control signals, emitting light rays toward the target via the light source controller, collecting one or more image information via the target detection controller, collecting shadow information of the image information via the target detection controller, combing all the collected shadow information via the target detection controller to identify an outline of the target, so the target is detected.
