Abstract

The invention discloses a process method for improving uniformity of foamed aluminum by adopting flaky foamed ceramics. The technical scheme is as follows: the flaky foamed ceramics with a certain size, density and porosity are prepared, and can be kept in a transverse position in an aluminum solution full of bubbles by using shape characteristics or density characteristics of the ceramics. In the process of producing the foamed aluminum, the flaky foamed ceramics and foaming agent powder are simultaneously added into the aluminum solution, and the flaky foamed ceramics keep in a transverse position in the aluminum solution and can prevent the bubbles in the foamed aluminum from floating upwards, thereby improving the uniformity of the porosity of the foamed aluminum. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the foamed ceramics which have the characteristics of high strength and high melting point are used as additives, so that the mechanical properties of the foamed aluminum material are improved. Meanwhile, the flaky foamed ceramics have certain gravity, and the shapes and positions of the flaky foamed ceramics increase the floating resistance, so that the flaky foamed ceramics cannot flow upwards easily, and ensure that surrounding tiny bubbles cannot flow upwards easily, thereby solving the problem of the uniformity of the porosity due to upward floating of the bubbles in the conventional process of producing the foamed aluminum by using a melt foaming method. By adopting the method disclosed by the invention, a foamed aluminum material with better mechanical properties and more uniform density can be obtained, and the method is effective improvement of the current process of producing the foamed aluminum by virtue of melt foaming.
