Abstract

A vehicle body construction with a tail gate is provided and capable of properly inhibiting (reducing) vibration of the tail gate and a subsidiary vehicle gate. In the vehicle body construction (10), the rear part (12) of a vehicle body (11) is provided with a rear opening (14). The tail gate (15) is supported on the vehicle body (11) in a manner of opening and closing the rear opening (14). The tail gate (15) is provided with a vehicle gate opening (29) disposed in a tail gate main body (16) and communicated with the rear opening (14); and the subsidiary vehicle gate (20) for opening and closing the vehicle gate opening (29). The subsidiary vehicle gate (20) is provided with a dynamic vibration absorber (63) used for vibration attenuation. Vibration of the tail gate (15) and the subsidiary vehicle gate (20) can be properly inhibited (reduced) by the dynamic vibration absorber (63).
