Abstract

Three types of path are available for data transmission from a sensing node to the coordinator. The three types of path are as follows: performing uplink data transmission through an elder node; if the elder node does not exist or a link through the elder node breaks, performing uplink data transmission through a father node; and any node in the network has a path to the coordinator, if the former two paths fail, inquiring a neighbor table to find out any one neighbor node except the elder node and the father node, and transmitting the data to the neighbor node. Data transmission from the coordinator to the sensing node relies on a simple route table, which is established and maintained during transmission of the data to the coordinator, so that the overhead is low and the maintenance is simple.
