An embodiment of the invention discloses a data association method and apparatus. The data association method is applied to a main system. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a first data identifier input by a user, wherein an association relationship exists between the first data identifier and a first data set of a first type of data in the main system; sending the first data identifier to a subsystem; receiving a second data set, which is returned by the subsystem and has an association relationship with the first data identifier, of a second type of data in the subsystem; and associating the first data set with the second data set, wherein the first data identifier at least comprises an identification of a machine which generates the first data identifier and a timestamp that generates the first data identifier. According to the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, the data identifier has uniqueness among different systems, thereby reducing an error rate of data association between different systems.
