Abstract

The invention discloses a method for improving the optical link protection switching stability of an ONU (optical network unit). The method is characterized by comprising the steps of S1, querying the activation state of the registration state of two PON (passive optical network) ports of the ONU in a timing mode; S2, judging whether a circumstance that the activation state and the registration state of a certain PON port are inconsistent exists or not, returning back to execute the step S1 if the activation and the registration state of each PON port are consistent, and executing a step S3 if the activation state and the registration state of a certain PON port are inconsistent; S3, starting a counter to count, and checking whether the inconsistency phenomenon disappears or not before time-out of the counter, and executing a step S4 if the inconsistency phenomenon disappears before time-out of the counter; S4, resetting the counter, and repeating the steps S1-S3, and executing a step S5 if the inconsistency phenomenon does not disappear before time-out of the counter; and S5, resetting the state of the ONU. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the state of the ONU is reset when the circumstance that the activation state and the registration state are inconsistent cannot disappear within a specified period of time, thereby avoiding lasting of a phenomenon that the ONU is abnormal in optical link switching because of inconsistency of the ONU.
