The star-delta starting circuit comprises a first contactor used for accessing a three-phase motor into a three-phase AC power supply; a second contactor used for forming star connection; a third contactor used for forming delta connection; a first switch which is a normally close switch and is in series connection with the second contactor; a second switch which is a normally open switch and is in series connection with a third contactor; a current detection device used for detecting motor load current; and a controller comprising a first switch control circuit and a second switch control circuit, wherein the first switch control circuit determines whether starting is stable according to the change amount of the motor load current in a preset time period, and disconnects the first switch after starting is stable, and the second switch circuit closes the second switch after time delay.
