Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing simultaneous measurement of electron and ion velocity images and a device thereof. The method comprises the following steps that S1, different sizes of negative voltage is respectively applied to the repulsive pole electrode plate and the extracting pole electrode plate of an ion velocity image instrument and used for accelerating electrons to a detection screen so that the two-dimensional momentum spectrum of the electrons is generated; and S2, voltage on the repulsive pole electrode plate and the extracting pole electrode plate respectively is jumped to positive voltage from negative voltage for accelerating ions to the detection screen so that the two-dimensional momentum spectrum of the ions is generated. The invention also provides a device of realizing the method. The device comprises the ion velocity image instrument, and a pulse power supply which is respectively connected with the repulsive pole electrode plate and the extracting pole electrode plate of the ion velocity image instrument and used for applying jump voltage to the repulsive pole electrode plate and the extracting pole electrode plate respectively. The original device structure does not need to be changed in implementation of the method and the device so that implementation is easy and convenient, and experiment cost is greatly reduced.
