Abstract

The invention provides a method and a device for automatically defending DNS from analyzing and requesting DDoS attacks. The method comprises the following steps: counting the number of clients which historically send a query request; obtaining a duration of a preset time period according to the number of clients which historically send the query request, allowable query times of each client within the preset time period and a single query time; obtaining a query time period used by a client which accurately sends the query request at present; and adjusting the duration of the preset time period according to the duration of the query time period to obtain an adjusted preset time period. According to the method and device provided by the invention, the duration of the preset time period is adjusted according to the duration of the query time period, so that the waiting time of each client is prolonged in the case of more query requests, accordingly the query speed is dynamically changed according to a real-time environment, and thus an attacker cannot use the query time or the time allocated by a server to attack the server.
