Abstract

The invention provides a mechanism supporting use of a HeNB (Home evolved Node B) as a secondary evolved node B (SeNB) in a dual-connectivity system. The method comprises the following steps that: A, an MeNB (Main evolved Node B) configures UE (User Equipment) in order that the UE can transmit information indicating that the UE is close to or far away from the HeNB to the MeNB when the UE detects the HeNB being close to or far away from the UE in a CSG (Closed Subscriber Group) whitelist; B, when the UE detects the HeNB in the CSG whitelist, the UE transmits a proximity indication and an identifier of the detected HeNB and a member relationship between the detected HeNB and the UE to the MeNB; C, if the MeNB does not perform any measurement configuration on an RAT (Radio Access Type) and a frequency of the detected HeNB, the MeNB performs a corresponding measurement configuration on the UE; D, the UE transmits a measurement result of the detected HeNB to the MeNB according to the measurement configuration performed on the UE by the MeNB; and E, the MeNB receives the measurement result, and decides whether to add the detected HeNB as the SeNB.
