The water purifying system for the nickel-plating wastewater is as follows: a resin type particle electrode layer is located at the bottom part of the water purifying system; a positive electrode constituted by a titanium mesh is placed at the top part of resin; a negative electrode constituted by a perforated stainless steel plate is placed at the bottom part of the resin; the positive electrode and the negative electrode are respectively connected with the anode and the cathode of an additional electric power; an adsorptive biological filter material layer is located above the resin type particle electrode layer; the part below the resin type particle electrode layer is connected with an gas-dissolving water-distributing chamber; and an aeration device and a back-flushing device are arranged inside the gas-dissolving water-distributing chamber. The water purifying method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: (1) allowing wastewater to enter the gas-dissolving water-distributing chamber; (2) carrying out gas-water mixing; (3) carrying out resin type particle electrode treatment; (4) carrying out microbial treatment and physical filtration; and (5) discharging purified water.
