The quenching technology comprises the following steps: 1) preparing works; 1.1) preparing the workpiece; 1.2) preparing equipment; 1.3) charging the workpiece; and 2) cooling; 2.1) a cooling mode is characterized in that a structural member with the 45#, 40Cr, 42CrMo, 20CrMnTi materials and a simple shape employs a single-liquid quenching mode, the workpieces with complex shape and little requirement distortion employ a pre-cooling quenching mode, the workpieces is pre-cooled in air to the temperature which is higher than that of Ar3 or Arl, then the single-liquid quenching is carried out; 2.2) a cooling medium: the workpieces with the 45#, 40Cr, 42CrMo, 20CrMnTi materials employ water cooling, when water is used, the water temperature is strictly controlled at 15-30 DEG C, generation of the soft spot due to increased water temperature can be avoided; the workpiece with the 40Cr material employs an oil cooling mode, and the oil temperature is controlled at the temperature of 20-80 DEG C; and 3) quenching operation.
