Provided is a multi-stage purification treatment system for residual water from the treatment of contaminated bottom sludge from a river or lake, the system comprising a primary sedimentation tank (1) for naturally settling and removing particulate matters in the residual water, a secondary sedimentation tank (2) for retaining and removing the particulate matters in the residual water, and a tertiary magnetic filter purification device (3) for adsorbing and removing suspended matters in the residual water, these being sequentially connected in series with one another according to a residual water treatment path, wherein the primary sedimentation tank (1) comprises a first tank body(11); the secondary sedimentation tank (2) comprises a second tank body (21) and a device aiding sedimentation (22); and the tertiary magnetic filter purification device (3) comprises a chemical feeding coagulation device (31) and a magnetic filter device (32) connected with the chemical feeding coagulation device (31). Impurities in the residual water are filtered out and detoxified systematically and step by step, so that the concentration of pollutants in water in river channels can be decreased; and waste water with a higher turbidity can be treated by the system.
