The method comprises: acquiring a screen resolution of a terminal and an initial preview resolution during a photographing process of the terminal (101), wherein the initial preview resolution is the same as the resolution of a camera of the terminal; if the initial preview resolution is higher than the screen resolution (102), determining a preview proportion according to a perpendicular pixel number ratio of the initial preview resolution to the screen resolution and a horizontal pixel number ratio of the initial preview resolution to the screen resolution (103); and adjusting the preview resolution during the photographing process of the terminal from the initial resolution to a current preview resolution according to the preview proportion (104), wherein the current preview resolution is lower than the initial preview resolution.
