Abstract

The invention provides a band-shape communication optical cable. The optical cable comprises 4 optical fiber band channels which are placed in a centrally symmetrical mode. Centers of the 4 optical fiber band channels and adjacent positions of each two channels are provided with soft steel wire reinforcement components respectively. A circle of waterproof wrapping tapes wraps outer sides of the optical fiber band channels and the soft steel wire reinforcement components. A steel-band longitudinal cladding layer sleeves an outer side of the waterproof wrapping tapes. A layer of polyethylene outer sheath sleeves an outer side of the steel-band longitudinal cladding layer. Through setting the soft steel wire reinforcement components at the centers of the 4 optical fiber band channels and the adjacent positions of each two channel respectively, flatness of optical fiber bands can be well guaranteed; in a same office building or areas which are close to each other, cables are not intersected, normal usage of the cables is not influenced and optical path transmission efficiency is increased; and simultaneously, through the multiple circles of the waterproof wrapping tapes, waterproof performance of optical cables is guaranteed.
