The threshold setting method comprises the steps of obtaining the temperature of an environment in which an electronic device is located; querying a point report threshold corresponding to the environment temperature; and setting the queried point report threshold to be a point report threshold of a touch screen in the electronic device. The technical problems that the point report threshold needs to be manually set by a user, the operation is tedious, the quantity of point report threshold options is small and the adaptability to the glove thickness is limited in related technologies are solved. The effects of automatically setting the point report threshold of the touch screen to be a reasonable value according to the environment temperature range, reducing the setting operations of the user and realizing wide adaptability to the glove thickness are achieved.
