Background of the invention [0002] It has long been known that peroxygen bleaches are effective for removing stains and / or soils from fabrics, however, such bleaches are temperature dependent. Peroxygen bleach is only partially effective at a laundry detergent temperature of 60°C. Peroxygen bleach becomes less effective when the temperature of the laundry detergent drops below 60°C. Accordingly, much industry research has been devoted to the development of bleaching systems containing activators which render peroxygen bleaches effective at temperatures below 60°C.
