An IMS-based video conference resource optimization method is disclosed and comprises the following steps: a microcloud is built by a terminal user when a video conference invitation is sent to the terminal user by an administrator; a virtual machine corresponding to the terminal user requests resource from the microcloud and submits size of requested computing resources and storage resources, weighted average of the computing resources and storage resources requested by each virtual machine VM at this moment is calculated by the microcloud, a cumulative sum of the computing resources and storage resources is recorded via a resource counter, a resource indicative function of each virtual machine VM is obtained based on a need degree and price factors of the computing resources and storage resources, and optimal computing resources and storage resources are distributed to each virtual machine VM by the microcloud at last. According to the IMS-based video conference resource optimization method, based on a game theory and an IMS framework, resource parameters are added, effective dynamic distribution of video conference resources can be realized, and a problem that resources cannot be distributed optimally when a video conference is initiated via technologies of the prior art can be solved.
